About this career
Computer network administrators install, configure, and maintain an organization's computer networks, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. They monitor systems and application logs to verify the integrity of hardware, completion of scheduled jobs, system backups, data consumption, and user access. They are responsible for installing and upgrading software and maintaining software licenses. Network administrators may assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
